Wiwanni

Do you finally want to venture from the climbing garden into the long tours - not be back on the ground after one rope length, but rather complete rope length after rope length? Then this three-day course at the Wiwannihütte is just the thing for you!

The Wiwanni hut above the Lötschental lies at over 2,400 metres above sea level in the midst of a spectacular high mountain backdrop - surrounded by rugged granite rocks, breathtaking views of the Valais Alps, ibexes and Valais goats. Directly in front of the hut are numerous multi-pitch routes in the best, solid granite with a short approach - perfect for getting to know the world of multi-pitch routes step by step.

We deliberately take three days to provide you with in-depth knowledge and safety on the rock:
Training takes centre stage on the first day. You will learn the basic techniques of multi-pitch climbing or refresh your knowledge - topics such as planning, belay station construction, rope handling as well as rescue and first aid take centre stage.

On the following two days, we put what we have learnt into practice: We climb varied multi-pitch routes in fantastic granite, practise efficient sequences and deepen our technique. This will consolidate your routine and, if you wish, you can also lead climb yourself to gain confidence in your equipment, belay partner and rock. On the second evening, our mountain guide will give you an exciting theoretical input on meteorology, rescue and first aid - knowledge that you can put into practice the next day. Of course, there will also be time to enjoy the view with a delicious cake in front of the hut.

These three days combine training, application and alpine experience - with plenty of climbing time, valuable input and unforgettable moments in the midst of the impressive Valais mountains.
