Registration
Your registration will be confirmed by email and is then binding. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please contact us to make sure that the registration has worked and that all contact details are correct. Once you have registered, your address and telephone number will be shown in the detailed programme for the relevant course. The detailed programmes are password-protected on the Internet. Only participants who are registered for the same course have access. If you do not submit a counter-report, you agree to this procedure.
Participation requirements
All tours and courses require good health, fitness and equipment that complies with the CE standard. The physical and technical requirements set out in the programme must be met. If a participant does not fulfil these requirements, Bergschaft or the responsible mountain guide may exclude the participant from the event. In the event of exclusion for the above reasons, no refund will be made.
Additional mountain guide
As a rule, the tours can be carried out with the specified number of participants per mountain guide. In critical conditions (e.g. heavy snowfall), a mountain guide or a mountain guide in training may be called in as an additional rope team leader for safety reasons. In this case, additional costs must be expected.
Double groups
If demand is high, additional groups or rope teams may be travelling on the same tour. Some of these are led by mountain guides in training.
Groups
Bergschaft attaches particular importance to a good group experience. This requires each participant to be tolerant, adaptable and understanding of different abilities and personalities. Bergschaft reserves the right to exclude participants who are unable to fit in with the group from the course or tour without refund.
Tour and course management
The Bergschaft offers are led by mountain guides with a professional licence. Simple alpine tours and glacier treks are occasionally led by qualified mountain guides. The climbing programmes are also led by climbing instructors with a specialist certificate. The hiking programmes are also led by qualified hiking guides. This complies with the current guidelines of the Swiss Mountain Guide Association (SBV) and the Swiss law on high-risk sports.
Programme changes
Changing, sometimes extreme weather and snow conditions are part of the fascination of mountaineering. You agree that Bergschaft may adapt the programme in such a case and put together an alternative. Any additional costs for travel and accommodation will be borne by you.
