Mountain guide Fabian Umbricht

Fabian grew up at the southern foot of the Jura and, even as a teenager, was regularly out and about in the mountains with the Weissenstein Youth Organisation (JO). His enthusiasm for mountain sports led him to undertake various ‘Youth+Sport’ instructor training courses in both summer and winter, and ultimately to a wide variety of alpine activities. Whether it’s climbing, classic mountaineering, challenging ski tours or ice climbing – Fabian feels at home in the most diverse facets of mountaineering. He is particularly fascinated by the variety: depending on the season, conditions and route, a different approach is always required. Around ten years ago, he developed another passion: paragliding. Since then, Fabian has spent not only many days on the ground but also countless hours in the air, undertaking cross-country flights on his paraglider. His enthusiasm for the various forms of mountaineering and his many years of experience make Fabian a versatile companion for shared mountain adventures.
