Andermatt

Do you love ski touring and freeriding, and want to explore winter terrain safely? Then the Bergschaft Festival in Andermatt is the perfect place for you. Four days packed with experiences, activity and new encounters await you – with a varied programme for beginners and advanced skiers alike. The Bergschaft Festival at a glance:

  • Day & Evening: During the day, you can look forward to a variety of off-road tours and courses; in the evening, there’s a relaxed programme at the accommodation.
  • Complete flexibility: With our one-day or multi-day passes, you can decide for yourself whether to attend just selected events or make the most of the whole festival experience.
  • For all levels: Whether you’re a beginner or already at an advanced level – everyone is welcome here and will find the right activity for them. Ski touring for beginners, freeriding for advanced skiers, avalanche courses or steep skiing.

The cosy Sust Lodge in Hospental serves as our accommodation and shared base camp. Centrally located in the heart of the Gotthard region, it offers the ideal starting point for our tours, courses and evenings together. From here, we set off daily into the surrounding mountains and enjoy the variety of ski touring and freeride opportunities around Andermatt.

After a day in the snow, you can build on your knowledge in exciting workshops, share experiences with like-minded people, or round off the day with a drink in a relaxed atmosphere. The Bergschaft Festival thrives on a sense of community, learning from one another and the shared joy of being out and about in the mountains.

A particular highlight is the film night on Friday. In a relaxed atmosphere, we watch a selection of short films on the themes of freeriding, ski touring and mountain sports. There’s plenty of time for conversation, making new friends and looking forward to the next few days together in the snow.

The speciality:

You can sign up for individual days or for the whole festival. Once you’re there, you can decide on the spot the evening before which activities you’d like to take part in. A day of technical skiing? Or would you prefer powder? Anything’s possible. All courses run with a minimum of three participants. You can try out the equipment on site or bring your own. The festival takes place at the cosy Sust Lodge. Here you can stay overnight, meet other participants and enjoy the programme together.

Register now and be there when the Bergschaft meets in winter.

Good to know:

If you book a day pass, you can easily add your stay at the Sust Lodge and other offers directly in the booking system as soon as you click on «Register». This allows you to put together your own personalised festival package, tailored entirely to your preferences.

For the Bergschaft Festival, we have the option – subject to demand – of using the entire Sust Lodge as our shared base camp. Various room categories are available, ranging from double rooms to four-bed rooms. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once registrations and details have been received.

Of course, you’re also welcome to stay in alternative accommodation or travel in each day and still take part in the festival. However, the best way to enjoy the full festival experience – with communal breakfasts and dinners, workshops, evening entertainment and plenty of chance encounters – is right at the heart of our Base Camp at the Sust Lodge.
