For this offer, we consistently follow the best snow in the Alps. Our base is a simple but comfortable hotel, from which we travel daily with lifts, cable cars and skins. We look for varied freeride runs with good snow quality and lots of fun and deliberately keep the ascents short.
We take you into the fascinating world of ski mountaineering - into vast, wintery high mountain landscapes with wide slopes and impressive glaciers. Together we move through varied terrain, enjoy long, elegant lines and experience the special ambience of the high alpine region.
During these four intensive days, you can expect exciting ascents to panoramic peaks, enjoyable descents over impressive glaciers and valuable information on technique, tactics and safety in alpine terrain. Flo will guide you through this adventure with experience, enjoyment and a good instinct for beautiful lines. Thanks to small groups, we can cater to your individual needs and offer you a real mountain adventure - intensive, personal and enjoyable.
Content and procedure
Individual or joint journey by private car or public transport. Depending on the situation, it may be advisable to arrive the evening before.
We get to know each other on skis and in the snow. We deliberately take a relaxed approach at the start so that we can get into the flow together and make the coming days a real pleasure with lots of turns and unique experiences.
You can expect varied freeride and ski touring days with impressive descents. We combine lifts, public transport and ascents with skins to reach attractive slopes away from the crowds. Our base is always in the Courmayeur region, from where we can also flexibly plan excursions to Chamonix or La Thuile.
On the last day, we take advantage of the best opportunities on site once again and ski into the afternoon. We then start our return journey together.
Accommodation
We stay in a simple, cosy hotel with double rooms. The accommodation offers an uncomplicated atmosphere, functional facilities and a good location as a starting point for our tours. After an active day in the snow, we can relax here in peaceful surroundings and round off the evening together.

Courmayeur & Aosta - freeride and freetouring in the heart of Mont Blanc
Between Mont Blanc, Gran Paradiso and the high alpine peaks of the Aosta Valley lies one of the most versatile freeride and ski touring areas in the Alps. Courmayeur and the Aosta Valley combine impressive glacier landscapes with steep north-facing descents, open powder slopes and varied ski touring routes - ideal for ambitious freeriders and ski tourers.
Around Courmayeur, cable cars provide access to high alpine starting points from which you can dive straight into large, unspoilt slopes. Long descents, exciting couloirs and extensive glaciers offer terrain for different skill levels - always surrounded by the spectacular backdrop of the Mont Blanc massif. At the same time, short ascents lead to quiet, less frequented variants that convey a real freetouring feeling.
Further down in the Aosta Valley, varied ski tours await between sparse larch forests, broad plateaus and striking peaks. The region is known for its stable snow conditions, varied terrain and a mixture of technical tours and enjoyable powder descents. Away from the well-known spots, you will find plenty of space, solitude and authentic mountain scenery.
The region also offers added value in culinary and cultural terms: Italian lifestyle meets Alpine tradition, with good accommodation, regional cuisine and short distances between valley and mountain.
In short: Courmayeur & Aosta stand for great alpine freeride terrain, exciting freetouring opportunities and a unique ambience between glacier, rock and dolce vita.
Requirements
- Solid ski touring technique, especially safe walking with crampons and mastered hairpin bends even in steep terrain
- Safe downhill skiing technique in open terrain and in different types of snow
- Stamina for tours with an ascent of around 1200 metres (partly with carrying passages or technical terrain)
- Endurance for longer descents with over 1200 metres of altitude - even in heavy or variable snow
- Experience with crampons and moving in exposed terrain - you are not afraid of heights
- Basic climbing skills: You can rope up independently with a figure of eight knot
- Splitboarders are welcome if they are experienced in handling their equipment and in steep terrain

Material and equipment
- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us the whole time. Only pack the essentials.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
