Mountain tour Pilatus | Ruessigrat - Matthorn
A little adventure on the sharp ridge!
Away from the crowds, we enjoy an easy but impressive scrambling tour over the Ruessigrat to the Matthorn. The centrepiece is the airy "bread knife". A great autumn day awaits us! The tour leads in the 3rd and short sections in the 4th degree of difficulty, while we always enjoy the sun and the autumn forest in view.
Venue & meeting point
- Area: Pilatus, Matthorn, Ruessiggrat
- Meeting point: approx. 8.30 Alpnachstad railway station, onward journey by e-bike or funicular railway
- Conclusion: approx. 15.00
Requirements
- No previous experience is necessary.
- First experience in scrambling in the 3rd grade is an advantage.
- Experience in hiking and walking in pathless terrain is an advantage.
- Stamina for mountain tours with around 800 metres ascent and descent at a leisurely pace (~300m/h).

- Takes place with 2 guests per mountain guide.

- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
