Keschhütte, Graubünden

The area around the Keschhütte is an ideal place to learn the skills of high-altitude mountaineering. We can look forward to impressive mountains, vast glaciers and a superbly situated hut as our base. On this course, we’ll work together to develop the techniques of high-altitude mountaineering, with a practical focus, directly in the terrain and on a variety of routes. Over the first few days, we’ll consolidate and revise the basics on shorter tours and discuss the key aspects of tour planning. We’ll then put what we’ve learnt into practice on longer tours in the area, always adapting to the group and the conditions.

There is a special focus on being on the road in the women's rope team: we create a supportive framework in which trust, exchange and shared learning take centre stage. Personal topics such as self-confidence, decision-making and dealing with uncertainty are deliberately given space.

We spend the night at the Keschhütte, which serves as a cosy base during the course days and offers ideal opportunities for training and tours.
