Ski mountaineering and couloir skiing in the Lofoten Islands | Norway with a mountain guide

We are looking for adventure - climbing over ridges and descending through cool couloirs to the sea. We enjoy the contrast between the white mountains with their steep rock faces and the bright blue sea. We enjoy the evening together in the sauna and refresh ourselves in the cold fjord - just like the Vikings back then!

To the dates and registration

Together we will experience an unforgettable week in the Lofoten Islands - with fantastic ski tours and fascinating couloirs.
Our home is a cosy rorbu right by the sea - the perfect starting point for varied ski tours in the impressive island mountains. The Lofoten Islands are known for their striking peaks, clear lines and spectacular views of the North Sea - ideal for enjoyable ski mountaineering with exciting descents.

Many tours start in a relaxed manner through sparse birch forests before heading further up into open terrain. There, couloir-like gullies and steeper flanks await us, which - depending on ability and conditions - can be perfectly skied. The Lofoten Islands offer suitable tours for almost every avalanche situation, from moderate routes to somewhat steeper but easily visible couloirs.

A particular highlight is the opportunity to reach remote valleys and untracked slopes by RIB boat - far away from the hustle and bustle and often all to ourselves. We discover the wild beauty of the Lofoten Islands step by step, with plenty of time for safe decisions, summit moments and impressive descents.

In the evening, we enjoy the peace and quiet in our secluded bay, ideal for watching the Northern Lights and relaxing together. If you fancy some culture, you can make a detour to charming Svolvær or Henningsvær - with their cafés, fishing tradition and Nordic flair.
