Early in the morning, we set off from Obere Bundalp and, travelling light, embark on the long journey towards the Blüemlisalphorn. What lies ahead is a demanding day of high-altitude hiking. Crossing varied alpine terrain, we steadily gain altitude until the landscape becomes increasingly high-alpine and we reach the glacier. Step by step, we approach the summit and finally ascend via the ridge – with its magnificent views – to the Blüemlisalphorn at 3,661 metres. Once at the top, there’s time for a summit break and, of course, to take in the panorama: Lake Oeschinen and the Kandertal valley lie far below us, whilst the impressive peaks of the Bernese Alps rise up all around. We then head back along the same route. At the Blüemlisal Hut, we treat ourselves to another break and recharge our batteries for the final descent. The tour is aimed at very fit mountaineers who enjoy long days, a steady pace and the „fast & light“ philosophy.

Anyone who wishes to can already attend the event the evening before at the Upper Bundalp stay overnight in a basic dormitory.

Early in the morning, we set off from Obere Bundalp towards the Blüemlisalpa Hut. From there, we continue climbing steadily until we reach the glacier. Despite a few bare patches, the glacier is currently easy to traverse. As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes increasingly impressive and the view of the surrounding peaks of the Bernese Alps opens up. We celebrate our successful summit together before setting off back towards Obere Bundalp via the same route.
