3 pm on the Kunkelspass
High tour Ringelspitz with mountain guide:in
Panoramic high tour to the highest peak in the canton of St.Gallen.
The Ringelspitz 3247 m offers an exciting high-altitude tour with impressive views far into the distance. We start the evening before with the ascent to the hut so that we can be out and about early on the summit day and savour the quiet morning hours in the mountains. The route leads through varied, partly glaciated terrain. Beautiful, enjoyable climbing awaits us in the upper section: first over a striking rib before the final summit ascent towers up before us as an imposing tower. After the summit experience and a rest with a magnificent view, we abseil down from the highest point. A perfect end to a day full of mountaineering, enjoyment and alpine adventure.
Procedure and meeting place
We meet at 3 pm at the Kunkelspass and climb up to the hut together.
Individual arrival and joint or individual ascent to the Ringelspitzhütte 1998m. Dinner together, get to know each other and look forward to tomorrow's tour.
A little tip: The route to the Kunkelspass can also be easily covered by bike. From there it's another 1.5 - 2 hours to the hut.
In the light of our headlamps, we climb early in the morning over boulder terrain and firn fields to the centre rib at 3000m. We climb over this rib in 2nd - 3rd degree of difficulty to the saddle. We climb the last 20 metres to the Ringelspitz 3247m via the airy south side in 3rd degree of difficulty. From the summit we abseil down the Tscheppband to the Tscheppjoch and return to the hut.
With many impressions in our luggage, we descend from the hut back to the Kunkelspass. Depending on the ascent route, the descent into the valley is individual.
