Immerse yourself in the world of mountaineering with us and experience and learn the techniques and tactics of mountain climbing. We'll be out and about together, learning how to use ice axes and crampons and travelling on the impressive Glacier de Moiry. We practise rope shortening and rope handling on easy rocky ridges and learn to recognise alpine dangers early on and deal with them safely. There will also be a shared summit experience! This rock and ice course takes place in the Cabanne du Moiry in Valais. Thanks to the short ascent of just 1.5 hours, we start with the practical exercises on the first day. The mountains around the hut offer ideal conditions for training tours: short, varied routes on rock and ice - always accompanied by impressive views of the surrounding 4000 metre peaks of the Valais.
