The Aletschhorn is a great ski tour summit! It lies in the middle of the Aletsch region, far away from civilisation. We can easily reach it on skis. We start at Belalp and the tour begins with a short abseil onto the Oberaletgsch glacier. The ascent leads over the lateral moraines to the beautifully situated Oberaletschhütte. We spend two nights here and enjoy a magnificent sunset. The tour to the Aletschhorn is a little longer, but the descents are magnificent. The ascent leads over the Upper Aletsch Glacier to the ski depot. We climb to the summit on foot with crampons via the south-west ridge. Here we have a magnificent view of the proud four-thousand-metre peaks of the Aletsch region! Back at the ski depot, several downhill options await us. We choose the best one depending on the conditions. On the last day, we leave the area via the Beich Pass and head into the Lötschental. Another great, really long descent awaits us here. After these days of ski touring, we enjoy our shared experience and round off the tour in a restaurant in Blatten near Lötschental before travelling home. What a marvellous ski touring experience lies ahead of us!
