Procedure and meeting place
We will meet at the Belalpbahnen valley station in Blatten near Naters.
We start our adventure on the Belalp, in the middle of the impressive Aletsch region. A small highlight awaits us right at the start: a short abseil onto the Oberaletsch glacier. We then make our way leisurely over the imposing lateral moraines to the picturesquely situated Oberaletschhütte, our base camp for the next two nights. The last part of the ascent to the hut is an easy via ferrata with ladders and fixed ropes. Once here, we are enchanted by the magnificent sunset and savour the unique atmosphere high up in the mountains.
Freshly fortified, we set off early for our big goal: the Aletschhorn. The ascent leads over the Upper Aletsch Glacier to the ski depot, from where we climb the south-west ridge with crampons. Once at the top, a breathtaking panoramic view of the proud four-thousand-metre peaks of the Aletsch region opens up - an unforgettable moment for all mountain lovers. Back at the ski depot, magnificent downhill options await us. Depending on the snow conditions, we choose the best route to round off the skiing experience perfectly before returning to the Oberaletschhütte.
On the last day, a leisurely ski tour to the Sattellücke is on the agenda. Once at the top, we enjoy the view and prepare for the well-deserved descent. The route down to Belalp delights with fantastic slopes and panoramic views, interrupted only by a short counter-ascent that makes the descent even more exciting. Back in Belalp, we look back on unforgettable days of ski touring – a perfect end to a magnificent mountain adventure.
We complete the course together.
