Mountain guide Marco Goldener

Born in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, Marco discovered his passion for the mountains at an early age. From alpine climbing and freeriding to icefalls, he is equally fascinated by all facets of alpinism. His favourite routes are creative and unconventional, far removed from the mainstream. Patient, even-tempered and hard to ruffle, he guides his guests safely to unforgettable experiences. In his private life, he likes to swap his mountain boots for a paraglider or treat himself to a really good cappuccino.

The course imparts the basic knowledge for ski mountaineering. Theoretical inputs alternate ideally with application and practice blocks. In between, you get to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. Thanks to this course, I feel ready for the next steps and definitely want to do more.
