Philipp is fascinated by quiet valleys and impressive mountain landscapes - always ready to discover something new.
He loves sharing special moments in the mountains with others - whether climbing on the rock or on a ski tour in fresh powder snow. He has found his home in the canton of Uri out of love for the mountains.
His alpine passion is climbing and travelling on skis - both give him strength and inspiration. In addition to his work as a mountain guide, he also works as a rope access specialist in the field of working at height.

From the booking and communication right through to the tour itself, everything was perfect. There were five pairs of climbers in total, which also made for a very entertaining evening in the hut. The tour was a bit more challenging due to the snow conditions (climbing with crampons, the cold, the wind), and Max, the trainee mountain guide assigned to me, made the tour a thoroughly enjoyable and wonderful experience for me thanks to his excellent and professional guidance. I felt very safe and well looked after at all times with the two mountain guides, Philipp Elsener and Florian Bosshard. Both were absolutely confident with the rope, technically proficient, and made sound, calm decisions even in challenging situations. At the same time, they were very friendly and entertaining. Their joy and enthusiasm for the mountains were infectious and made the tour a truly wonderful experience. I’d go on a trip with them again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful ski touring weekend in the Saas Valley with very good mountain guide Philipp, two summits and training. As a Bavarian newcomer to the Western Alps, I was thrilled.

Thank you for the well-organised ski touring days in Val Bedretto! Philipp had the tricky avalanche situation under control at all times and shared his knowledge and judgements with us. That was very instructive. The tours were varied and were exactly what was possible in this sometimes challenging weather. The finale was a marvellous powder run. Unforgettable and we look forward to returning soon!

Despite the difficult conditions, we had a great weekend with Philipp in the Bedretto Valley - in addition to great descents in powder snow, I also learnt a lot thanks to his detailed explanations!

The tour is beautiful! A good combination of beautiful ascents and perfect downhills. The hut is also very pleasant.

A great end to the tour with Reto & Philipp, you always feel like you're in good hands with them. The tour was superbly chosen and the descent through the powder slopes was simply beautiful! Gladly again!
