Palatinate

Learn crack and clean climbing in the Norvosges, also known as the Palatinate. Climbing on the red sandstone towers offers enormous variety, so in addition to cracks, chimneys, slabs and overhangs also await you. As the routes often only have a few fixed bolts, we will teach you how to safely place friends and wedges, so-called mobile belay devices.

Of course, you also need a new technique for this type of climbing, namely the crack climbing technique. We will teach you the correct crack climbing technique and expand your repertoire of movements with a very special form of movement. In this course you can "jam" crack routes in the toprope, learn what "left side in" means and what a "lock" is. We will show you how to tape your own crack gloves and which mobile belay devices are used when, how and where.

The Palatinate is an ideal place to gain experience in crack climbing and belaying with mobile belay devices, thereby raising your climbing level to a new level and expanding your skills for alpine routes.
