Downhill orientated ski tour in Eastern Switzerland - in the right place for a short time!
Powder and sun on Saturday!
We gratefully accept the early Christmas present and go on a downhill ski tour on Saturday in great weather and fresh new snow from Thursday to Friday. Because it's never clear exactly where and how much will fall, we decide at short notice where to go. The mountain guide has a few great options in mind, for example a traverse in Glarus or a ski tour from Flumserberg or Pizol. It's clear that we'll make the most of the day and seek out the beautiful snow and try to cover as many metres of descent as possible. We will use small tracks, ascend around 800-1000 metres and descend around 1500-2000 metres.
Venue & meeting point
- Area: Eastern Switzerland - Glarus - Northern Grisons
- Meeting point: Will be easily accessible by public transport from the larger cities.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Stamina for ski tours with around 800-1000 metres ascent at a leisurely pace (~300m/h) and significantly more descent.
- Splitboarders are welcome.
Group size
- Takes place with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
Price and services
- CHF 225.-
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- We have for you a detailed packing list with packing tips compiled.
- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
