Freeriding & Freetouring Jeizinen
The abundance of snow these days gives us a wonderful powder day on Friday in and around the idyllic Gampel - Jeizinen ski area.

In the morning, we use the ski lifts in the family ski resort of Gampel - Jeizinen and go freeriding. We enjoy several great descents in fine powder before the weather in Valais brightens up more and more due to the southerly influence and perhaps even brings out the sun. Visibility improves as the day progresses. We take advantage of this opportunity and climb 500 - 800 metres in altitude with our skins to enjoy another fantastic descent in fresh snow. We move in small groups and get the best out of the day.
Procedure and meeting place
We meet at the Gampel valley station at 8.45 am.
We use the ski lifts in the family ski area and go freeriding in the morning. We enjoy several great descents in fine powder before the weather brightens up due to the southerly influence at midday and the sun comes out. Visibility improves and we take this opportunity to climb 500 - 800 metres in altitude with our skins to enjoy another fantastic descent in fresh snow. We move in small groups and make the most of the day.
We finish the tour together back in the valley with a big grin on our faces.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Condition for ski tours with around 1000hm at a comfortable pace (~300hm/h).
- Condition for 1500m descent in different types of snow.
- Splitboarders, if experienced, are welcome
Price and services
- CHF 225.-
- Small group with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- For this tour you need the material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
