Tödi | Glarus Haute Route with mountain guide
We’ll climb to some prominent peaks via the Glarus glaciers and, as the grand finale, up to the Tödi.
To the dates and registration
This impressive traverse takes us from Urnerboden right into the heart of the Glarus high mountains. From the Clariden Hut, we make our way step by step deeper into the high-alpine world, cross the Clariden and reach the Planura Hut via vast glacial expanses. We continue on to the rustic Fridolinshütte before, as the crowning glory of the tour, we climb the Tödi. Along the way, we experience everything that defines classic high-altitude mountaineering: vast glaciers, easy scrambling on rock, exposed sections and long days in the high mountains. The first tour up the Clariden features short, easy climbing sections, ideal for getting to grips with moving across alpine terrain. The Tödi itself is impressive with its sheer size, its extensive glaciers and two secured passages that lead us safely to the summit. Throughout the entire traverse, we make a point of taking our time to build up our knowledge and skills, practise procedures and gain confidence in high-alpine terrain. An intensive week of high-altitude mountaineering that perfectly combines adventure, training and the shared experience of being out together in the high mountains.
We meet at Urner Boden, at the valley station of the Fiseten cable car.
The Fiseten cable car takes us up to the summit. From there, we hike at a leisurely pace to the Claridenhütte. The area around the hut is ideal for learning the techniques of mountaineering.
Early in the morning, we set off for the summit of the Clariden in the first light of day. After a well-deserved rest at the summit, we descend to the Planura Hut, where we have something to eat and spend the night.
On the third day, we will do some glacier training together on the way to the Fridolinshütte. In the evening we will spend the night in the Fridolinshütte.
Today the Tödi is on the programme. We enjoy the high alpine surroundings and climb to the summit together. Once at the top, we enjoy the view and savour the experience. We then descend via the same route to Linthal.
Back in Linthal, we say goodbye to each other and take home many special impressions of the day.

That's what our guests say:
The Glarner Haut Route at « Bergschaft » is highly recommended. It offers a quiet, beautiful landscape atmosphere, sporting pleasures and alpine hut life. The two mountain guides will accompany you competently and responsibly, and they are both approachable and emphatic.
