Glarus Haute Route

This impressive crossing takes us from Urnerboden right into the heart of the Glarus high mountains. From the Clariden hut, we move step by step deeper into the high alpine world, crossing the Clariden and reaching the Planura hut via wide glaciers. We continue to the rustic Fridolinshütte before climbing the Tödi for the crowning finale. On the way, we experience everything that characterises classic mountaineering: wide glaciers, easy scrambling in the rock, exposed passages and long days in the high mountains. The tours on the Clariden include short, easy climbing sections, ideal for familiarising yourself with alpine terrain. The Tödi itself impresses with its size, its extensive glaciers and two secured passages that lead us safely to the summit. During the entire crossing, we consciously take time to build up knowledge and skills, practise procedures and gain confidence in high alpine terrain. An intensive week of mountaineering that ideally combines experience, training and travelling together in the high mountains.

We meet at Urner Boden, at the valley station of the Fiseten cable car.
