High tour on the Piz Medel

The Piz Medel towers above the Greina plain and is a solitary and magnificent high tour near Disentis in the Surselva. Easily accessible and with a comfortable approach thanks to the Alpine taxi. We enjoy the first day on the Greina plain, a high plateau where the rivers still meander beautifully and nature is unspoilt. At the hut we have the opportunity to do some more scrambling and prepare for tomorrow's tour. But beware, the magnificent cake from the Terrihütte is waiting for us and the panoramic window with a view of the Piz Medel is magnificent! On the second day, we start early in the morning and enjoy the varied ascent over the wide glacier to Piz Medel. The last section is a short ridge that has to be crossed. The descent leads back over the glacier and back to Val Plattas. A quick dip in the mountain stream refreshes us before we take the Alpine taxi back. A magnificent, easy high-altitude tour that we enjoy together!
