Endurance
Our plan is to enjoy the beautiful weather combined with an exciting ascent and a beautiful descent on slush. We will climb approx. 800–1,000 metres in altitude in two ascents and reach the summit after a short walk. It is quite possible that we will put our skins back on and make another ascent before enjoying the beautiful slush down to the end of the snow line. Characterful tracks will serve us well for the ascent and descent.
Procedure and meeting place
We will meet in St. Jakob in Grosstal.
The tour ends in Oberrickenbach. In between lies a small but delightful adventure in the form of a crossing.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Stamina for ski tours of around 800 - 1000 metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h).
- Splitboarders are welcome.
Price and services
- CHF 225.-
- Small group with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
