Engstligenalp ski tour - cosy, beautiful and eventful
Cosy and enjoyable ski tour in the Bernese Oberland!
A leisurely and enjoyable ski tour in the Bernese Oberland. Thanks to the Engstligenalp cable car, we can start high up and enjoy a leisurely ski tour to the Tschingellochtighore or the Ammertenspitz. The starting point is high enough so that the onset of heat has no effect, and the north-west and east-facing slopes are steep enough to really enjoy the fresh snow. From the mountain station we cross the plateau below the impressive Wildstrubel north face. The descent is a little more direct back down again. Depending on our mood, we add a second ascent. Our guide Simon knows the area well and will make sure you have a cool day in the snow!

- Area: Engstligenalp
- Meeting point: 8.55 Frutigen railway station, journey by car to the valley station.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Condition for short ski tours with around 800 m ascent at a comfortable pace (~250 m/h).
- Condition for 800m of descent in different types of snow.
- Splitboarders are welcome.
Group size
- Takes place with up to 6 guests per mountain guide.
Price and services
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
