Saturday promises to be a beautiful day for a fantastic tour in fresh powder snow. Hoch Ybrig is easily accessible and, thanks to its various summit destinations, is a magnificent area for ski touring. The area offers a number of hidden ascents and descents where you can enjoy deep snow skiing to the full! We will start the tour in Weglosen, climb one of the pretty peaks, enjoy the view of the lakes and ski down into the valley. Depending on the conditions, we will make two ascents.
Procedure and meeting place
We will meet in Hoch Ybrig, at the Weglosen valley station. The time is adjusted to public transport.
We start the tour in Weglosen and look for the most beautiful route and an attractive descent. Pure enjoyment!
We finish the tour together back in the valley.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Condition for ski tours with around 1000hm at a comfortable pace (~300hm/h).
- Condition for 1000m of descent in different types of snow.

- CHF 225.-
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
