8:40 a.m. Näfels-Mollis railway station
Yesterday we found such great conditions that we have to go ski touring again while it's still so cold and the weather is good. On Wednesday, we'll look for more light powder and enjoy the freshly snow-covered mountain landscape. We'll take a taxi up to the Schilt mountain inn, from where we'll make 2-3 ascents in search of great skiing terrain and a pretty, secluded summit. It snowed quite a lot here too, and thanks to the shady exposure and the many possibilities, we still find beautiful, unobstructed terrain here. At the end, we treat ourselves to a very long descent on the cosy meadows down to the valley! We love the area around the Schilt because it offers so many possibilities and descent combinations! Let's enjoy this New Year's gift together!
Procedure and meeting place
We meet at Näfels-Mollis railway station and take a taxi from there up to the Schilt mountain inn.
We go on a ski tour with 2-3 ascents, looking for beautiful slopes and secluded peaks with great views. Afterwards, we ski down into the valley as far as possible until the taxi picks us up and takes us back to the starting point.
We conclude the tour at the same location with cheerful faces.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Condition for ski tours with around 1000hm at a comfortable pace (~300hm/h).
- Splitboarders are welcome.

- CHF 195.-
- Small group with 4 - 7 guests per mountain guide.
- Including professional planning and realisation with a mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Exclusive travel expenses, any train tickets or taxi rides, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
