Summit ascent on the Gemmi

Bern, Gemmi

Together we go on easy ski tours at a leisurely pace, where you can learn the basics of ski touring in peace and gain valuable experience. We will show you our approach to ski touring: with short, pleasant ascents, plenty of breaks and relaxed descents in powder snow. You will learn how to ascend efficiently with skins, what is important when choosing tracks and get practical tips for safe and enjoyable skiing in deep snow. We will take time to answer your questions and cater to your individual needs. We spend the night in a charming hotel right in the ski touring area. We set off from the front door on tours that are ideal for beginners. Thanks to the small ski lifts in the region, you can also choose variants that shorten the ascent and thus increase the downhill fun.

Tip: Benefit from discounted rental equipment at Ski Rental Züri or in the Sport Trend Shop Hinwil.

The Gemmi and the Berghotel Sunnbüel are situated high up and are already snow-sure at the beginning of winter. After the cable car ride, we immediately start familiarising ourselves with the ski touring equipment. We take our skis to the Berghotel Schwarenbach and then go on a leisurely short tour to familiarise ourselves with the safety equipment. We take time to look at and discuss everything we need for a successful start to ski touring. As always, we are out and about with our eyes wide open, looking for the best snow and looking forward to a beautiful descent. In the evening we enjoy a get-together in the cosy parlour and look forward to another ski tour!

Daily destination: You learnt a lot of new things, your questions were answered and you received individual support in the terrain. This allowed you to gain your first valuable experience of ski touring.
