We enjoy the heavier snowfall these days and savour the fresh powder in the sparse forests of Glaubenberg. We make a short traverse and look for secluded touring terrain with around three ascents and descents. Thanks to the access road, we can start up the Glaubenberg and immerse ourselves directly in the winter wonderland. We experience beautiful ascents and great descents between the trees, so that we can ski wonderful fresh powder even with limited visibility and light snowfall.
Procedure and meeting place
We meet at the railway station in Sarnen at 09.10 am. Either continue by car or by bus to Glaubenberg. Please let us know if you are travelling by car.
We go on a leisurely ski tour with around 3 ascents and descents and look for secluded and great skiing terrain!
We end the day with lots of powder snow at the car park and toast our experiences with a drink.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Stamina for ski tours with around 800 - 1000 vertical metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h) and more downhill.
- Splitboarders are welcome.

- CHF 195.-
- Small group with 4 - 7 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
