We enjoy Easter in the Monte Rosa region. Thanks to the small Matterhorn cable car, we start high up and immediately immerse ourselves in the impressive world of the great glaciers and high mountains of Zermatt. We will spend two nights in the magnificent Monte Rosa hut, from where we will embark on the most rewarding tours. There are some perfect ski tour destinations with a cool summit, great descents through impressive glaciers and all this in the midst of the impressive high mountain world of the Monte Rosa massif.
Procedure and meeting place
Take the Klein Matterhorn railway up to the Breithorn plateau. With touring skis and skins, we continue towards Schwarztor. From there we ski over the Schwärz Glacier in imposing surroundings down to the Grenz Glacier. A unique and wonderful descent. Once on the Grenzgletscher, we head back up to the Monte Rosa hut.

Felicorn
Once again, we go on a ski tour and start early in the morning as usual. Adapted to the prevailing conditions, we choose the right tour to leave the Monte Rosa massif.
Gorner Gorge, Stockhorn, Rotenboden
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- You have some experience with ice axes and crampons
- Condition for ski tours with around 1600hm at a normal pace (~300-350hm/h).
- Stamina for more than 1600 metres of downhill skiing in different types of snow.

- CHF 1190.-
- Takes place with up to 6 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Including accommodation costs and half board
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.

Due to bad weather, the originally planned tour could not be carried out. The Bergschaft team reacted to this and offered possible alternatives with better weather in another area. The team informed us in good time and asked whether and which area would be suitable and then organised a new tour including overnight stays in the huts within a few days. Thanks to the team, it was a great tour with a great BF and a great group, even in a different area than planned.
