Would you like to try out rock climbing and find out if it's for you? Then this taster day is just the thing for you!

Under expert guidance, you will learn your first steps on the rock - from roping up and climbing in the toprope to safely moving vertically. You can try your hand at climbing without any previous knowledge, gain confidence in the equipment and experience the fascination of climbing at first hand.

An eventful day full of exercise, nature and fun - perfect for getting to know rock climbing without obligation!

  • Procedure and meeting place

    • Meeting place

      09:00 am, railway station

We meet at the railway station of the respective place of departure.

    • Welcome and start of the course

We get to know each other and walk to the climbing garden together.

    • Learning and experiencing

      3a-5a

We start the day with a welcome and a short introduction to rock climbing. You will familiarise yourself with the equipment - climbing harness, rope, helmet and carabiner - and learn how everything works together to keep you safe. We then set up the climbing garden together and discuss the day's programme.

      Daily destination:
You have experienced rock climbing and gained a first insight into the fascinating world of sport climbing. You know the basic equipment, understand the toprope climbing process and have built up confidence in yourself, your equipment and your climbing partner - with lots of fun, exercise and experiencing nature.

Before we start on the wall, we practise basic movements on the ground: correct standing, gripping and confidence in the equipment. You will then climb your first routes in the top rope - this means you are secured from above and can concentrate fully on climbing. Our mountain guides will secure you, give you tips on technique, movement and tactics and help you to gain confidence in yourself. After the first successes, we enjoy a cosy break in the climbing garden, fortify ourselves and exchange impressions. In the afternoon, we climb various routes with different levels of difficulty so that you get a feel for climbing on natural rock. You will learn how to move efficiently, use footholds and holds correctly and move along the wall with calm and concentration.

      Reflection & conclusion
At the end, we will reflect on the day together: what have you learnt, what surprised you and what would you like to try next? You will receive valuable tips on how you can continue climbing and deepen your knowledge.

      Important:
This taster day is designed to familiarise you with rock climbing and give you a safe experience in the toprope.
It does not replace a safety or basic climbing course.
If you want to learn how to belay or climb independently, our two-day basic rock climbing course is the perfect next step.

    • Conclusion

      approx. 16:00

      We complete the course together.
