Spontaneous tour Davos | North-facing descents & short crossing
We are looking for a small, fine adventure in the form of a day tour.

Jonas has planned a spontaneous tour in and around Davos for Sunday. A small, fine winter adventure awaits you: with skis on, beautiful snow, an exciting choice of lines and (still) relatively friendly weather. The weather is expected to hold out the longest in the Inneralpin on Sunday. Great conditions for a rewarding tour with plenty of downhill fun.
We start in Davos Dorf and quickly take the mountain railway up to the summit. From there, we enjoy a beautiful north-facing descent from the Weissfluh summit towards the Durannapass. Afterwards, we start again and ascend once more to use a transition and descend into another valley. The result is a varied tour with a certain „mini-crossing“ character.
With around 800-1000 metres of ascent and over 2000 metres of descent, the focus is clearly on enjoyment and downhill skiing, combined with an exciting course of the day.
Procedure and meeting place
We meet in Davos Dorf, either at the railway station or at the Parsennbahn.
Travel tip: If you are travelling by car, it is best to park at Landquart train station. From there, you can take the train to Davos Dorf and return in comfort after the tour.We take the Parsenn cable car up to the Weissfluhjoch. We start our tour with the Weissfluh summit. From there we take a beautiful north-facing descent into the Duranna valley, from where we climb back up to a summit. Our tour ends in Küblis or Fideris.
We finish the tour back in the valley, either in Küblis or Fideris. From there we travel back home individually or to the car, which is best parked in Landquart.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Fitness for ski tours with around 800 metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h) and significantly more downhill.
- Splitboarders are welcome.
Price and services
- CHF 225.-
- Small group with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
