    We meet at the “Amden Dorf” post office stop. After the mountain guide welcomes us to the mountain, we start our day tour together with a cable car ride.

    The day starts with a leisurely chairlift ride on the legendary two-seater lift, which takes us up the first few metres in comfort. This is followed by a scenic ascent of around an hour to the central plateau. This is where the enjoyable climbing begins on the rough limestone rock with its water grooves. We climb the first four pitches in a pleasant fourth degree of difficulty, always with a view of the deep blue Walensee. After these four pitches, there is a short foot descent to the start of the next climbing section, which again offers some great metres of climbing on the characteristic limestone rock. Once at the top, a breezy ridge traverse to the summit awaits, with magnificent views of the Zurich Oberland all the way to the Black Forest. At the summit, we enjoy the impressive panoramic view and fortify ourselves with a well-earned lunch.

    The descent is leisurely along the red and white marked hiking trail, past the impressive avalanche barriers that can already be seen from the valley. Once we reach the bottom, we end the day in the cosy restaurant at the mountain station with a delicious piece of cake and the last view over Lake Walen before we hurtle back down into the valley on our scooters!

    An enjoyable day comes to an end. What remains are wonderful memories of a marvellous day of scrambling in the best lime!

  • You are proficient at belaying on multi-pitch routes.
  • You can re-climb at grade 4, this is possible without any problems in approach or mountaineering boots.
  • Fitness for climbing tours with a comfortable ascent and descent of approx. 600 metres in altitude.
