Introduction to the world of the 4,000 metre peaks | High tour course with application tour Breithorn | Zermatt

It is incredibly beautiful and impressive to climb over the glaciated slopes to the firn ridge of the Breithorn and suddenly look down on Zermatt and the Mattertal with its 4,000 metre peaks. Experience and learn alpine tours with us in Zermatt. We take the cable car to Trockenne Steg and start with glacier training with crampons and ice axe on the lower Theodul Glacier. Here we learn how to walk with crampons and how to properly hammer in the ice axe. We spend a cosy and well-catered night in the Gandegghütte. The next day we start early and take the first cable car up to the Klein Matterhorn. Here we start our high tour to the Breithorn. We pass impressive crevasses and climb up a firn flank. Finally, we reach the firn ridge of the Breithorn and suddenly feel like real mountaineers, high above Zermatt. Depending on the conditions, we cross the Breithorn and build in a cool variation to make a nice round trip back to the Klein Matterhorn railway, which takes us comfortably back to Zermatt.
