Susten

The Sustli area is the ideal place to learn the art of mountaineering. Impressive gneiss mountains, small but wild glaciers, a well-catered hut and the idyllically situated Grassenbiwak await us. In this course, we work together on the techniques of alpine mountaineering - in a practical way, directly in the terrain and on varied tours. On the first few days, we will repeat and consolidate the basics on shorter tours and discuss what is important when planning tours. We then apply what we have learnt on longer tours in the area, always adapted to the group and the conditions. We spend the first two nights in the cosy Sustlihütte. For the last night, we move on to the remote Grassenbiwak, a quiet place high above the valley. There we cook together, enjoy the sunset and greet the new day with a view of the surrounding mountains. A very special experience.
