Ski touring and avalanche | basic course Gemmi with application tours with mountain guide
We accompany you into the world of ski touring - in 4 days with enough time!
This varied four-day ski touring course combines training and practical tours in an impressive region on the Gemmi. We teach you the basics of ski touring, give you personalised feedback and take the time to cover all the important topics. The aim is to train you so that you can enter the world of ski touring safely and well prepared.
Thanks to its altitude, the area around the Gemmi and the Lämmerenhütte is snow-sure and offers a variety of touring options - ideal for beginners and advanced skiers. Popular destinations include Wildstrubel (3,243 m), Daubenhorn (2,942 m), Roter Totz (2,848 m) and Steghorn (3,147 m).
The hut is easily accessible from Leukerbad by cable car to the Gemmi Pass (2,315 m), from where a short ascent over the Lämmerenboden leads to the hut. A cosy atmosphere and a magnificent view of the surrounding peaks await you there - the perfect base for our course.
Course content & procedure
We meet in Leukerbad and take the cable car up to the Gemmi Pass. We'll get to know each other and clarify your expectations.
After the cable car ride, we explain all the basics of ski touring and start with the ascent to the hut on skis. During the ascent, we'll cover all the important training content beforehand. On the first day we will learn a lot of new things, applied and practice-orientated. We take the time to deliberately repeat the topics several times to build confidence.
