Freetouring round tour Melchsee Frutt
Varied freetouring fun can be experienced as a great round tour.
Technics
Endurance
We are planning a cool freetouring circuit on Melchsee-Frutt with pleasant sunny ascents and long shady descents, where the snow often stays powdery for longer as the warmth sets in. There is also a short traverse in the course of the tour, which we master on foot. The tour offers plenty of fun and variety with a manageable ascent. Perfect for a sporty and enjoyable tour.
Procedure and meeting place
We meet in Sarnen at the railway station and carpool to Stöckalp.
Together we enjoy the day in the snow. We ascend sunny slopes and enjoy shady north-facing slopes. A short traverse, which we master on foot with our skis on our backs, adds to the adventurous character of the tour.
We end the day together back in Melchsee Frutt. We are happy about the tour we experienced together.
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Stamina for ski tours with an ascent of just under 700 metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h) and a descent of around 1500 metres.
- A head for heights for a short, exposed passage on foot.
- Splitboarders are welcome.

- CHF 225.-
- Small group with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
