Downhill orientated ski tour in Glarnerland | Sunnehöreli
Varied ascent, great summit ascent and long, north-facing descent!
There has been fresh snow again, and next week we can expect fantastic weather! On the north side, the snow remains powdery for a long time, providing perfect conditions for an impressive traverse with a long, north-facing descent. Thanks to the mountain railway, we can start high enough, complete an ascent of around 1000 metres, enjoy the summit and the peace and quiet during the week before tackling the long, north-facing descent. We will probably walk the last few metres to Engi - but after such a descent, we don't mind at all.

- Meeting point: Matt, village, valley station 8.43
- Conclusion: approx. 15.00 in Engi
Requirements
- Mastering the ski touring technique with its basics (skins, hairpin turns).
- Safe downhill technique in open terrain and in different types of snow.
- Fitness for ski tours with an ascent of around 1000 metres at a leisurely pace (~300m/h) and significantly more descent.
- Splitboarders are welcome.
Group size
- Takes place with 4 - 6 guests per mountain guide.
Price and services
- CHF 225.-
- Including planning and realisation with mountain guide and his travel expenses.
- Excluding travel expenses, possible train tickets, personal consumption.

- For this tour you need the following material from this PDF. We carry our equipment with us all the time. Pack only what is necessary.
Bergschaft tours and courses are conducted in German as standard. However, our mountain guides speak good English, as do many of the participants. If you speak English, you are of course very welcome. Depending on the tour, it may be worth asking us in advance whether the guide and the group are comfortable speaking English.
